Ch2. Going Big Jim Al-Khalili explores the largest known cosmic structures, including, a vast cloud of solar plasma which surrounds and protects the solar system, the black hole at the centre of the Milky Way, which emits the lowest note ever heard in the cosmos, and the giant arc, a collection of galaxies which spans more than three per cent of the observable universe.
