[edit] Information

On the 26th September 2014 a group of students were violently attacked on their way to a protest in Mexico City. 43 young men were taken away by municipal police and have never been seen again.

[edit] Chapter 1:

This documentary hears how federal investigators initially blamed corrupt local police and a local drug cartel for the attacks, but in the weeks and months that followed, civil unrest grew as the parents of the missing boys became increasingly suspicious of the official investigation. Featuring survivors, families of the missing and exclusive interviews with Tomás Zerón De Lucio, the fugitive former head of the Mexican Criminal Investigation Agency (CIA) and Omar Gómez Trejo, the exiled former special prosecutor.

[edit] Chapter 2:

A look at what happened in the years after the disappearance of 43 students in Iguala, Mexico. As the parents of the missing continued to search for their sons, renewed hope emerged in 2018 with a new government and the appointment of special prosecutor Omar Gomez Trejo, who spearheaded a fresh investigation into the disappearances. With exclusive access to Omar Gómez Trejo and Tomás Zerón De Lucio - the fugitive former police chief wanted for his alleged role in a cover-up - this episode reveals evidence of a much wider network of cartel-linked corruption.
